Women in Advertisement…

Today everywhere on TV, on road or In Theatre we used to see lot of advertisement in which someone tries to convince us to buy their product. One thing which I noticed in all these advertisement was that whether it is a product for man or child or teenage guy or anyone else there must be a beautiful girl selling that product. In all these ads women are used as the object not as human being.

In my child hood I remember that there were women in advertisement presented in very dignified manner, I remember the classic ad of NIRMA SUPER in which actress Dipika who played the role of SITA in RAMAYAN buys Nirma Super from the Shopkeeper, that complete advertisement was beautiful as the main focus was on product not on the actress. I also remember the ad of Palmolive in which Kapildev, the famous Cricket player of India, acted and there was not any woman in that advertisement, I suppose if that advertisement was made in today’s time then there must be a lot of girls in very less cloths surrounding him…. J

So what you feel who is responsible for this negative representation of woman in advertisement???
